From May 5 to 7, 2026, the European tree care community gathers in Augsburg for one of the most relevant industry events: the Deutsche Baumpflegetage. Recognized as a leading conference and trade fair in arboriculture, the event brings together professionals from municipalities, public companies, research institutions, and service providers to exchange knowledge and explore practical solutions for urban tree and green space management.
With more than 160 exhibitors and a comprehensive program of lectures, demonstrations, and discussions, the event creates a direct bridge between research, regulations, and day-to-day operational work in the field.
Bringing GreenSpaces to the field
At this year’s edition, R3GIS will be present to showcase how digital tools can support a more structured, efficient, and transparent management of urban green areas.
GreenSpaces is designed to centralize all information related to urban greenery, trees, lawns, shrubs, playgrounds, and infrastructure, within a single georeferenced platform. It enables organizations to plan maintenance, document interventions, monitor safety, and coordinate teams both from the office and directly in the field.
Live demonstration: Ecosystem Calculation Tool
During the trade fair, visitors will have the opportunity to experience a live demonstration of the Ecosystem Calculation Tool, powered by the BENEFITS module of GreenSpaces.
This tool translates green assets into measurable environmental value. Using scientific models and weather data, it calculates key ecosystem services such as:
◼️Estimated economic value of services provided
◼️CO₂ captured and stored and future forecast
◼️PM10 deposition
◼️Intercepted water
◼️Energy saved
◼️O₂ produced
Why this matters for professionals
The challenges discussed at Deutsche Baumpflegetage, climate adaptation, urban tree resilience, regulatory frameworks, and operational efficiency, require more than isolated tools.
They require structured data, consistent workflows, and the ability to connect field operations with strategic planning.
This is exactly where GreenSpaces positions itself: as an operational system that supports daily work while enabling long-term, evidence-based management of urban green assets.
