Next week, Paolo Viskanic, CEO of R3GIS, will give a lecture at the II Seminario Internacional “Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación al servicio de las coberturas vegetales urbanas”, organized by the Jardín Botánico José Celestino Mutis in Bogotá and Universidad Catòlica de Colombia.
In his lecture, titled “The New Frontiers of Urban Green Management”, Paolo will share best practices and insights on how cities can address the challenges of climate change through innovation, data, and smart management tools.
Drawing from more than 20 years of experience in supporting municipalities and public companies across Europe, the presentation will explore how digital technologies such as LiDAR, IoT sensors, and drones can transform traditional green-space management into an integrated and measurable system.
It will also highlight the role of citizen engagement and environmental benefit analysis in shaping resilient, inclusive urban environments.
This international participation reinforces R3GIS’s commitment to advancing research and technology for sustainable urban management, and to fostering collaboration between experts, institutions, and cities worldwide.
